Labs
The Department is modernizing its laboratories so as to provide its students with hands on experience on Electrical and Electronic hardware. This year, Rs. 9 lakh has been sanctioned for the Electronics Laboratory in the area of Communication Engineering. Electrical Machines Laboratory is presently undergoing development through development funds of the Institute. Computing facility along with licensed software (MATLAB) has been bought for the Digital Signal Processing Laboratory. In order to encourage actual simulation of Electronic circuits, Integrated Circuits Laboratory is equipped with Educational Breadboard System. Equipments such as Digital storage oscilloscope, Test station etc with latest technology has also been bought for the Electronics Laboratory. In the departmental Computer Laboratory, few machines were irreparable while others needed minor up gradation. With minimum expenditure in the form of spare parts such as fans, RAM cards etc the Computer Laboratory in department is re-organized to make an updated laboratory to be used by the final year students for their project work. Efforts are on to develop laboratories in the area such as Electrical Drives and Controls Laboratory, Measurement Laboratory.
